Welcome to the

A. P. & L.

Avery Power & Light Company

Avery Power and Light Co. provides freight and passenger service from the Milwaukee Road's division point at Avery, Idaho to the surrounding area communities and businesses.

An HO scale layout located in Boise, Idaho set in 1951 featuring steam, early diesels, light and heavy traction.

The Milwaukee Road is depicted loosly with the towns of Avery, Saint Maries and Plummer Idaho. Plummer includes an interchange with the Spokane, Portland & Seattle Railway.

The S. P. & S. has trackage rights from Plummer into the A. P. & L. yard at Upper Avery.

The AP&L is actually two HO scale layouts.  The first being a portable display that that depicts the modern and progressive atmosphere of downtown Avery and it's efficient and prosperous trolley transportation system.  This layout finds it's way to various train shows and events. Downtown Avery photos.

The second is a 12 ft by 24 ft "around the walls" operation that began life in the third week of March, 2005.  Layout Photos.
